Nairobi’s Wildlife & Cultural Tour

Itinerary:
9.00 We will pick you up from your hotel or anywhere in Nairobi.
9.30 We visit the Giraffe Center. Here you can have a close counter with the Rothschild’s giraffe. It is one of the most endangered distinct populations of giraffe’s. You will be able to feed, touch and even kiss a giraffe.
11.00 Every day for an hour, they are showing out the rescue elephant at David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. We will take you to see the small baby elephant get there bottle of milk, watch them play and if you are lucky, even pet a baby elephant. If you fall in love, you can adopt the elephant for only $50 a year.
12.00 We will provide you with a little snack
12.30 We will arrive to Karen Blixen Museum, the home of the famous Danish author who wrote “Out of Africa” based on her own autobiography about her struggle setting up a coffee farm as a woman in Kenya in the beginning of the 1900 and her love affair with a British pilot. The house was purchased in 1964 by the Danish government and given to the Kenyan government as an independence gift.
13.30 We visit the Kazuri Beads Factory, a fair trade success story that dates back to 1975, when it was founded by Lady Susan Wood. She began with two local women who made ceramic beads by hand – the word “kazuri” means “small and beautiful” in Swahili – and soon realized she could expand and help many more unemployed women. Today, Kazuri employs more than 300 women, makes over five million beads a year, and exports beads to 20 different countries.
14.00 We will end our day and return you to your hotel

14.00 We will take you to a local restaurant in Nairobi for lunch, followed by a visit to either Maasai market or Toi market where we make sure to find the best deal for souvenir’s. (Depending on the weekday).
